Helix piercings: expressive and versatile with endless design options

The helix piercing sits on the ear’s upper cartilage. This curve on the outer portion of the ear is known as helix and is pierced for this type of ear piercing. With a ring or stud in different sizes made of gold or silver, this piercing attracts everyone’s attention – with a simple design or sparkly stone embellishment. The hoops and studs have a thickness that ranges between 1,2 and 1,6 mm. The back of the helix earring ranges between 6 and 8 mm. You can wear your helix piercing individually or with fashionable ear jewellery and combine it with other piercings like the labret and tragus. The SABOTEUR collection offers a wide range of possible combinations. With its timeless, minimalistic and symbolic designs you can express your personality or reinvent your style again and again wearing cartilage hoop earrings or studs.

Premium materials for our SABOTEUR helix jewellery:

  • 18 karat gold (white, rose or yellow gold)
  • White or black (heated) diamonds
  • Sapphires, rubies, amethysts, malachite, onyx or emeralds
  • Freshwater cultured pearls

The perfect counterpart to the helix piercing is the contra or anti helix. It is also known as the forward helix piercing and is located on the opposite side right above the tragus. By combining them, you can create expressive looks. Or you can wear a mid-helix piercing to accentuate your lower ear cartilage.

Celebrate your body with the spectacular helix ear piercing – it is available in the SABOTEUR online shop and in our stores. We recommend getting your piercing done right then and there we recommend getting your piercing done right then and there.

Fine piercing: piercing, healing and aftercare

This ear piercing is located on the cartilage. For this reason, it usually takes a little bit longer to heal. The average healing time ranges between 6 and 12 months. Before the helix piercing gets pierced, our piercers disinfect your ear and mark the exact position. They then pierce the cartilage with a piercing needle under great pressure. The piercing process is more painful than in other areas, since this part of the ear is not easy to pierce. However, the pain doesn’t last long and the same goes for other side effects.

During the first four weeks after the procedure, you should not do any sports and not go to swimming pools, tanning shops or saunas. It is crucial that you care for your helix piercing twice a day. We are happy to assist you with the right aftercare products that are available in our piercing studios.

  • Do not touch the helix piercing and do not remove any discharge.
  • Thoroughly wash your hands before cleaning your ear piercing.
  • Apply the After Care spray on the front and back of the piercing wound.
  • Be as thorough and gentle as possible. You should also avoid to spin or rotate the piercing.

Carefully styling your hair and not using any hairspray will promote a fast healing process without any complications. We also recommend you to carefully slip clothing over your head and sleep on a soft pillow. Please pay a lot of attention to your new helix piercing.
