For a flat piercing, our piercers pierce the flat part of the cartilage in the upper ear with a piercing needle. First of all, you determine where we should pierce your new body adornment. Furthermore, you can choose between a bigger flat piercing and multiple smaller ones that you can combine individually. The piercing process itself will only take a moment. But since the ear cartilage is very hard and requires more pressure, this step may cause pain.
Once the flat piercing is a part of your body, you should pay a lot of attention to it for the healing time of 3 to 12 months. - Wash your hands thoroughly and do not touch your piercing when cleaning or caring for your wound.
- Do not clean the piercing wound too often, since that would remove regenerative cells as well. We recommend that you clean your flat piercing twice a day.
- Thoroughly apply the After Care spray on the front and back of the piercing wound.
- During the first four weeks, refrain from doing sports, going to the swimming pool, sauna or tanning shops.
- Avoid taking long and hot showers. After each shower, carefully wipe the piercing dry with a cotton stick.
- Carefully style your hair and keep any hair or styling product away from your piercing.
- Sleep on a soft pillow or on a travel neck pillow to avoid putting pressure on the cartilage piercing.
- Please do not remove any discharge. It is normal to a certain extent.
- Be careful when slipping clothing over your head and try to not pull on your piercing.
